Llandudno is a Victorian seaside resort, town and community in Conwy County Borough, North Wales. It stands on a peninsula jutting out into the Irish Sea, between the headlands of the Great Orme and Little Orme.
Known as “the Queen of the Welsh Resorts” since the middle of the 19th century, Llandudno is the largest seaside resort town in Wales. It is renown for having Wales’s longest pier, which stretches out 2,295 feet (700m) into the Irish sea, as well as Victorian architecture and stunning scenery.

The train station is located at the heart of the airport campus, which means passengers have easy access to all the terminals. With moving walkways throughout, it should take no more than 5 - 15 minutes to get to and from the terminals. A train from Manchester Airport to Llandudno runs almost every hour. Tickets cost approximately £40.00 and the journey takes 2h 20m. You can book the train ticket via Trainline website.
ALTERNATIVE AIRPORTS
Liverpool South Parkway is the closest rail station to Liverpool John Lennon Airport and is located approximately 3 miles from the airport itself. Transport is available between the airport and the rail station via the 80A and 86A bus services which operate up to every 20 mins. For bus timetables, please click here.
A train from Liverpool South Parkway to Llandudno runs almost every hour. Tickets cost approximately £25.00 and the journey takes 2h 30m. You can book the train ticket via Trainline website.
TRAIN STATION
LLANDUDNO (LLD)
Llandudno train station has three platforms. The main entrance to the station is found on Augusta Street. The ticket hall sits alongside the toilets, which can be found in the waiting room by platform 1. Llandudno train station has one car park, which is located on Augusta Street. The car park has 128 spaces, 1 Pay & Display Machine and a Customer Service kiosk.

Please note: Not all trains go directly to Llandudno (LLD). Some will stop at the train station in Llandudno Junction (LLJ). It takes an average of 10m to travel from Llandudno Junction to Llandudno by train, over a distance of around 3 miles (4 km). There are normally multiple trains per day travelling from Llandudno Junction to Llandudno and tickets for this journey start from £3.20 when you book in advance. Alternatively you can travel from Llandudno Junction to Llandudno by taxi.
