IKT 2021: Stay Connected!
Registration is now open for the GENERAL ASSEMBLY during IKT 2021: Stay Connected! Streaming program
Dear IKT members,
October 16, 2021 is the day to watch and reveal what you and your IKT colleagues have reflected upon and elaborated in regards to the question “how to stay connected” during these past 12 months!
We are looking forward to sharing exciting videos from around the world with you for a 24 hours special streaming starting at 10 pm Universal Time on Friday October 15 (midnight in Central European Time). All you need to do is saving this link in your calendar and click on it when you are ready to watch:
Subject: IKT 2021: Stay Connected!
Time: October 15, 2021 10:00 PM UTC
Meeting-ID: 818 1798 5503
Stay tuned for updates – we will keep you posted and share the final program with the detailed starting times over the next weeks!
Furthermore, October 16 is also the day for our annual General Assembly. Due to the current situation, it will be held online for the first time. Your active participation will be more important than ever! Please join us and help shaping IKT’s future by participating all at 2 pm UTC.
Important: You need to pre-register for the General Assembly prior to actual attendance by following this link. A confirmation e-mail will provide indications on how to join the Assembly.
Finally, this is the important moment to elect the new IKT President and Board, and vote for the next location hosting the 2022 IKT Congress. Don't miss it, each vote is essential!
Anyone interested to run for the position of IKT President or Board member should write an informal e-mail to the IKT Board via the IKT assistant by October 9. The Presidential candidates need to state how they plan to finance the IKT Secretary. This prior notice is mandatory. The Board would like to set up a virtual meeting with each candidate to go through opportunities, tasks and duties of this voluntary and demanding position before the election. By doing so we will ensure a smooth transition. Those interested in joining the Board can present their candidatures by sending a short (200 words max) presentation of themselves and why they want to join. We will not contact candidates for the IKT Board for a preliminary interview, unless they wish to talk to the current Board.
During the General Assembly, all candidates for Presidency and Board will have two minutes to present themselves and their ideas to the fellow members. You can do this by simply introducing yourself in real time, sharing a power point presentation, or with a pre-recorded video.
For any question, please do not hesitate to contact the IKT assistant at mail[at]iktsite.org .
Additionally, we will be voting for the next venue to host the IKT Congress 2022! Up to now, we have two candidatures for this: Julien Robson will present Kentucky (USA) and Eugenio Viola the city of Bogotá (Columbia). If you want to propose your City/Region as well, please send us a short note and prepare a presentation which should not last longer than 7 minutes.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you soon online! And in the meantime, keep an eye on our social media accounts for updates!
All the best,
The IKT Board
