Meet Wendy Leah Dawson
Wendy Leah Dawson is a multidisciplinary artist based in Conwy, North Wales. Her artistic process is rooted in practice-led research, which she applies across various contexts and scenarios. She has a profound interest in exploring methods to convey her observations of the human experience and our capacity to shape the world, both through communal interactions and the physical environment.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Wendy Leah Dawson holds a position as a lecturer, where she imparts her knowledge to students studying FDA and BA Photography, A Level Photography, and Art qualifications at Coleg Llandrillo. Residing in North Wales, she draws inspiration from her family's clockmaking and dressmaking businesses, which played a significant role in her formative years, introducing her to the realms of metalwork and antiques restoration. These traditional skills acquired within her family enterprises are integral to her creative process, allowing her to explore and express herself through various art forms.
