RELAX (chiarenza & hauser & co)
During the IKT Congress 2024, delegates will have the exclusive opportunity to visit Gleis 70 artist studios and meet the duo RELAX (chiarenza & hauser & co).
Marie-Antoinette Chiarenza, born in Tunis in 1957, and Daniel Hauser, born in Bern in 1959, first started working together in Paris in 1983. They have had their studio in Zurich since 2000. The "& co" in their name refers to possible forms of collaboration. They became known with claims such as thinking alone is criminal (1991), artists are no flags (1993), je suis une femme, pourquoi pas vous? (1995), to be paid to do nothing (2007 - 2009) and: you pay but you don't agree with the price (1994 - 2020).
ABOUT GLEIS70
The Gueststudio Gleis70 is located in Zurich Altstetten in a former factory building in a industrial area. Artists, musicians, designers, inventors, composers, writers, graphic artists, dancers, filmmakers, and many more work in the Gleis70 Cooperative building. It is located right beside the tracks of the train Zürich-Bern/Basel and is easily accessible by public transportation.
