Curator's Choice – 1st Edition 2026

Nora Turato, RESPECT ALL, FEAR NONE, 2026

The first edition of Curator’s Choice marks the launch of a new long-term initiative by IKT, the International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art. It is conceived as an evolving platform for collaboration among artists, curators, collections and galleries.

The initiative begins with a two-year collaboration with the Kelterborn Collection, spanning 2026 and 2027. During this inaugural period, Curator’s Choice will develop a series of editions in partnership with the collection, working with different artists and galleries along the way. Each edition will emerge through a distinct group of collaborators, creating new dialogues among artistic practice, curatorial thinking, collecting and the gallery context.

The inaugural edition features Nora Turato’s RESPECT ALL, FEAR NONE, developed in collaboration with Sprüth Magers. It will debut during the 2026 Venice Biennale as part of the exhibition Who is a good boy?? at Contemporary Forces Artspace on Giudecca, Venice, curated by IKT member Anastasia Stravinsky and Mario von Kelterborn.

While the 2026–2027 programme is anchored by the collaboration with the Kelterborn Collection, Curator’s Choice is conceived as a long-term and expanding initiative. In future phases, other collections will be invited to participate, allowing the project to evolve through new partnerships with artists and galleries.

Through this rotating and collaborative model, Curator’s Choice brings together emerging and established artistic voices through carefully selected, conceptually rigorous works, while fostering new relationships across the contemporary art ecosystem.

Twenty-five per cent of all sales from each edition will be donated to IKT, helping to sustain the association’s ongoing activities while generating visibility and support for participating artists. The initiative highlights the importance of collaboration among artists, curators, collectors, collections and galleries. By bringing these roles into dialogue through an evolving group of partners, Curator’s Choice demonstrates how artistic production, curatorial knowledge, collecting practices and gallery networks can contribute to a more sustainable and connected art field.
